Text and citations
The reference edition uses original explanatory text and links to the publications or institutional records it discusses. Source material retains its own copyright and terms. A citation is not a grant of permission to reproduce a publication.

Images, maps and recordings
No collection photographs, historical maps or recordings have been reproduced in the reference pilots. Any future media must carry an appropriate credit, provenance, rights statement and useful caption. Reconstructions must be identified, and generated images must not be presented as historical evidence.
Existing travel photographs retain their individual credits in the preserved travel pages. Those permissions do not automatically extend to other material from the same collection or website.
